Eduardo joined the Foundation in August 2012 as the Executive Support & Board Relations Coordinator. In his role, he provides support for NWHF's President, coordinates the board of directors and committee meetings, serves on the Foundation senior leadership team, is the lead program officer for Oregon Active Schools, oversees human resources, manages intern programs and support staff and plans NWHF events.

Before joining NWHF, Eduardo was a SUN Community School Coordinator, where he managed over 40 culturally specific and not-for-profit community organizations at a local North Portland Middle School.

Eduardo is fluent in Spanish, a graduate of the University of Portland, and a 2010 graduate of the Portland Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Leadership Program.

Eduardo is engaged in the community through his volunteer work as Co-Chair for JustPortland and Friday Forum Steering Committee for City Club of Portland. He serves on several culturally specific and LGBTQ focused organizations and actively participates in district and statewide education focused collaboratives and steering committees.

His family is originally from Baja California, Mexico, but he grew up in El Centro, California as the youngest of three men.
