2011 | Planning for Workforce Development in Geriatric and Long-Term Care in Arkansas | $225,000

Goal: (1) To improve the educational preparation of registered nurses caring for frail older adults at all levels through an implementation of activities to promote a seamless academic progression that permits nurses to achieve higher levels of education and training. (2) To create and establish a business model that provides transitional care and case management services to older adults which also will serve as a learning laboratory for students in their clinical, educational, research, and leadership curricula as these relate to nurse leadership in the redesign of health care in the United States.
