Eduardo Moreno

Eduardo joined the Foundation in August 2012. In his current role as Health & Education Officer, created through a partnership with the Momentum Fellowship program at Philanthropy Northwest, Eduardo is responsible for working with NWHF’s program and leadership teams to develop and implement the programmatic strategies for the Foundation’s efforts to promote health through educational institutions. Major areas of work include building long-term relationships with school, community and funding partners; serving as the project coordinator for the Oregon Active Schools fund; providing support for the Health & Education effort; event coordination and the integration of these efforts with other Foundation programs.

Before joining NWHF, Eduardo was a SUN Community School Coordinator, where he managed over 40 culturally specific and not-for-profit community organizations at a local North Portland Middle School.

Eduardo is fluent in Spanish, a graduate of the University of Portland,  Portland Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Leadership Program Class V participant, and Latino Network Unidos for Oregon cohort III participant.

Eduardo is engaged in the community through his volunteer work as Co-Chair for JustPortland, the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Development Committee, Stand for Children Beat the Odds Scholarship Committee, and formerly as a Friday Forum Steering Committee member for City Club of Portland. He serves on several culturally specific and LGBTQ focused organizations and actively participates in district and statewide education focused collaboratives and steering committees.

His family is originally from Baja California, Mexico, but he grew up in El Centro, California as the youngest of three men.
