Please have each July Gathering participant register as soon as possible. This will help us determine logistics, including food. We expect Collaboratives to bring a minimum of four attendees, but welcome up to six participants per community.

Please make hotel reservations as soon as possible, even if you are not sure who will be attending. You can book rooms at one of two hotels: Holiday Inn Express or Clarion Inn. Use this link to reserve rooms at our group rate at Holiday Inn Express. Or call (541) 889-8621 to reserve rooms at the Clarion Inn.

Draft agenda below! Final agenda will be printed for you at the gathering.

We're also trying a new tool this gathering, called Sched. You can use it to keep track of the gathering schedule, speakers and your fellow participants on your mobile device. Try it out, and let us know what you think!

Leadership Team Webinar About the July Gathering

What are the Gatherings?

The gatherings are an opportunity for the Communities Collaborate Cohort to build relationships and a shared understanding, as well as an opportunity to define how we want to work together and build the capacity we need to build power for kids and families.

Who Should Attend?

We expect Collaboratives to bring a minimum of four attendees, but welcome up to six participants per community. There should be a "Core Team" of participants that can attend every gathering, who will be able to share their learnings with others in their Collaborative who can't attend. We encourage Collaboratives to bring participants representing a diversity of perspectives, including staff members, partner agencies and unpaid/volunteer community members who guide your work (i.e. parents, families, youth and elders).

How are costs covered?

A portion of grant funds must support sending multiple representatives to each regional gathering of funded partners. Grant funds cover the cost of travel, lodging, per diem, etc. To support unpaid/volunteer community members to attend, grant funds can also go toward stipends, childcare costs, etc. NWHF will cover the costs of meals and meeting rooms at the gatherings.

Supporting Participation

If you or participants from your Collaborative need accommodations to participate at a gathering  (e.g. interpretation, large print documents, etc), please describe this when registering. We also encourage you to reach out to one of NWHF's community engagement officers. We are committed to ensuring gatherings are accessible to everyone.

Please feel free to reach out to one of our community engagement officers, Jen Matheson at or Michael Reyes at
