Kehinde Timothy is interning at Northwest Health Foundation through Portland's SummerWorks program. Through this internship, Kehinde hopes to gain more knowledge about managing and operating a nonprofit organization and connecting with different partners to make an impact.
This September, Kehinde will start her senior year at David Douglas High School. She is involved in her school as the vice president of the Black Student Union, a Peer Link Crew leader for incoming freshman, a REAP leadership club intern/student, and a varsity track and field athlete. Being active and involved in her school allows Kehinde to advocate for change, celebrate her school's diversity and enjoy her school experience. After high school, Kehinde plans to attend a four-year university and major in business administration. Later on, she would like to start a business of her own.
Kehinde comes from a Nigerian household where she is always pushed to work hard. She has two sisters, one of whom is her twin, and two younger brothers. Her hobbies include dancing, running and hanging out with friends.
