Robbie Law, MD
Robert Law, M.D. grew up in Astoria, Oregon. He graduated from Stanford University with an A.B. in psychology in 1976. He received a B.S. in biology from the University of Oregon in 1983 while completing premedical studies. Dr. Law earned his MD degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in 1988.
Following his family medicine residency he joined Dunes Family Health Care in 1991-2014 in Reedsport, Oregon. He and his partners practiced the full spectrum of family medicine, including inpatient hospital care and emergency room medicine.
Dr. Law is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Physicians. In 1999 he was honored as Oregon Family Physician of the Year by the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP). Dr. Law is a past president and board member of the OAFP, a former board member and Vice Chair of the Southwest Oregon AHEC, and is a former chair and current member of the steering committee of the Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Network (ORPRN). He is an adjunct Associate Professor in the OHSU Dept. of Family Medicine and has received a Master Teacher Award, a Mentorship Award and the Carpenter Teaching Award from the department.
In December 2013, Dr. Law returned to his home town and is now practicing at the Lower Columbia Clinic in Astoria where he is a member of the Columbia Memorial Hospital medical staff.
